Matt King
From a young age Matt has been living and breathing construction. He started his first construction business while in high school, and later followed his fathers lead and went to post-secondary school for Construction Science and Management. After graduating, Matt and his father combined forces and founded Kingsgate Construction. Matt's passion for construction is evident in every project he manages, the relationships he has fostered with his co-trades, and the team he has helped to build at Kingsgate. A lifelong learner, he is always updating his skills and knowledge to stay on top of industry standards and new building methods and materials.

John King
Drawing on his many years as a contracts manager, John brings a comprehensive understanding of building practices, project organization and site supervision to the team. Imparting his knowledge and expertise, John also taught construction techniques for over 20 years as an instructor at Humber College in Toronto and is well respected within the construction field.

Mike Neath
SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
Mike began his journey in the trades two decades ago, honing his skills as a carpenter. With determination and dedication, he achieved the red seal certification and served as proficient lead carpenter at Kingsgate for five years. Mike eventually decided to transition from wielding tools to excelling as a project manager. His extensive expertise and practical experience in the realm of home building make him an invaluable asset to our build team.

Cameron Freelen
PROJECT MANAGER
Cameron started his career in landscape design and construction after graduating from the Landscape Architecture program at Fanshawe College. He gradually transitioned into home renovation and construction, running his own construction and renovation business for over seven years.
We are lucky to now have Cameron on our team as a project manager. Beyond his experience and skills in project management, he brings with him diverse expertise in design, landscape, home building, and a wealth of knowledge in new technologies and products.

Connor Mitchell
LEAD CARPENTER & SITE SUPERVISOR
Connor started his career as a journey carpenter in Nova Scotia before eventually making the move to Ontario. During his time in Ontario, he worked as a painter for a few years, during which we had the pleasure of crossing paths while working on projects.
As we got to know Connor better during his time, he expressed his unwavering passion for carpentry and his desire to reenter the trade. We gladly welcomed him to the Kingsgate family, and he has since proven himself as one of our top-notch carpenters. Connor's unwavering commitment to his craft and his exceptional skills have made him an invaluable asset to our team.

Briar Young
APPRENTICE CARPENTER
Briar, an exceptional individual, pursued his education in Carpentry and Renovations at Conestoga College. His dedication and hard work led him to graduate with honours, and he joined the Kingsgate team a year ago, proving to be an invaluable addition. Not only does Briar possess a remarkable talent, but he also brings a positive attitude that uplifts the entire team.
Continuously showcasing his diverse skill set, Briar excels in various areas such as tile installation, drywall work, and different aspects of carpentry. His proficiency and expertise in these disciplines are evident, further contributing to the team’s success and productivity.
Briar’s commitment to excellence and his ability to adapt to different tasks make him an asset to Kingsgate. We are fortunate to have him on board, continuously showcasing his talents and positive energy.
